Tiago Dias - Recording Engineer, producer and Musician
Tiago Dias is a bass player, producer, studio/live sound engineer and songwriter. He has 12 years of experience in the music field.
Tiago is currently playing bass for Abandon Mute and The Hobos, producing one of them and writing new music material.
Tiago’s professional experience began in 1999 as a bass player in Portugal. After eight years of head banging gigs and many live sound engineer nights for ear bleeding rock bands, he decided the time was right to move to London for further music studies. He got a degree in Music Performance and Production at London Centre of Contemporary Music, which is a private college, validated by Middlesex University.
He has performed with numerous artists and bands throughout his degree awarding him with even more experience, repertoire, maturity and musicianship. So far he has been involved as session musician in various genres and styles of music, from a fusion metal band to a jazz trio. As engineer he recorded many different music styles from rock to gypsy jazz to singer-songwriters.
Latest projects include recording the bass of Abandon Mute’s debut album and producing the latest EP along with bass playing for the folk/bluegrass band The Hobos. Tiago is currently enrolled in a Masters degree on Record Production at the University of West London, specialising himself on ambient and live recordings.
